BlackBerry PlayBook Amazing!
The BlackBerry PlayBook looks amazing, during Adobe Max 2010 Adobe and BalckBerry showed off the PlayBook which great and even better has full support for Flash Player 10.1 in the browser and Adobe Air 2.5 for application and game development. But that was just a preview in the last week I was able to watch a number of screen casts and webinars and all I can say it looks just amazing especially for Flash developers.
The Hardware
The hardware is great, it has true multitasking, 7” screen, 1 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB RAM, Symmetric multi-processing, front and back facing camera, HDMI, Full Adobe® Flash® 10.1 enabled, Built-in support for HTML 5, of course Adobe Air 2.5 and weighing around 400 grams.
Adobe Air 2.5
For me the best part is begin able to develop Adobe Air applications or games using ActionScript 3 and the BlackBerry PlayBook SDK, this is great news having full support for Adobe Air is pretty much the same as developing native applications. This is very promising as a development platform and with possible Molehill support it would be great for game development.
Get A Free BlackBerry PlayBook
Even better news is Blackberry’s current offer develop an application or game for the PlayBook submit it to the App World before product launch and receive a free BlackBerry PlayBook. To get you started here our a number of links I would recommend watching the webcast series there great.
